COKAL DAM
Çokal Dam is a strategic facility located on the Kocadere River, on the border of Tekirdağ and Çanakkale (Gelibolu), meeting both the irrigation and drinking water needs of the region.
Dam Type: Earth and rock fill.
Dam Height: 81.00 meters from the riverbed.
Reservoir Volume: 204 million m³ (hm³) at normal water level.
Reservoir Area: 10.10 km².

In this project, the Bottom Outlet Tunnel is 400 meters long. All the equipment placed inside the tunnel was brought in from the point at the tunnel's exit. For this purpose, we installed a specially designed rail system inside the tunnel, and all the massive pipes, elbows, transitions, and accessories were moved along the rails to the assembly points. |
