HALI DAM

HALI DAM

The Khali Dam in the Asir region of Saudi Arabia is considered one of the largest and most critical water structures not only in the region but in the entire kingdom. With a water volume of 249 million cubic meters, the Khali Dam is not only a flood prevention and water storage structure but also a lifeline for the region's agricultural sustainability and drinking water supply.

The Khali Dam, the kingdom's second-largest water reserve, is the result of KIT Engineering's engineering expertise. This colossal structure, 84 meters high, safely manages a total water volume of 249 million cubic meters through four massive gates, each 2 meters wide and 2 meters high.
As KIT Engineering, we designed, installed, and commissioned the hydromechanical systems that manage the most critical functions of this massive structure, ensuring uninterrupted operation even in the most challenging desert conditions.
Dam Type: Concrete Gravity Dam.
Body Height: 84 Meters (from the valley floor).
Crest Length: 380 Meters.
Water Storage Volume: 249 Million m3
