Penstocks & Steel Linings
"High-Strength Steel Backbone of Waterways: These are high-strength steel transmission systems that convey water from the dam reservoir to discharge points or turbines under high pressure, shaped according to the geometry of the project. Beyond standard circular cross-section pipes, it is a complex engineering solution consisting of square or rectangular cross-section steel linings that work integrated with reinforced concrete structures, transition pieces that provide hydraulic transition between different geometries, branches and elbows.
Produced in the KİT production ecosystem using the most advanced welding methods and rigorous non-destructive testing (RT, UT, MT) processes, these systems maintain the structural integrity of the system with their high water hammer (water ram) resistance and smooth inner surfaces that minimize hydraulic losses."
